01 — Practice

A boutique environmental practice with the technical depth of a national standards authority.

YUFAN Environmental Consultants Limited is a Hong Kong-registered environmental consultancy specialising in solid and hazardous waste treatment and utilisation, resource recovery, intelligent environmental monitoring, ecological protection, and ESG advisory services — with a strategic focus on circular economy and low-emission technologies for the mining and resources sector.

The firm is built to deliver what fragmented consulting commodities cannot: full-process technical frameworks grounded in the drafting of China's national environmental standards, first-hand operating experience across 50+ state-owned mining and smelting subsidiaries, and proprietary IoT and AI monitoring technology protected by four software copyrights.

YUFAN's Hong Kong base provides cross-jurisdictional anchoring between Greater China and the wider Asia-Pacific. A planned Australian practice will extend this capability into the circular-economy transition of Australia's resources sector — with initial engagement pathways in South Australia and New South Wales.

Dr. Xu Peng
Founder & General Manager
PhD, Environmental Science & Engineering
Senior Environmental Engineer (MOHRSS)
USCIS EB-1A · HK QMAS

An environmental scientist with over twenty years of operating and research experience in circular economy and low-emission technologies for the mining and resources sector.

Dr. Xu's career spans the full spectrum of Chinese environmental practice: as Principal Participant and Drafting Coordinator of a national environmental standard (HJ 943-2018); as Principal Investigator of a 14th Five-Year Plan research project awarded First Prize for Scientific Research Achievements; as the former Director of Environmental Protection for one of China's largest gold-mining groups; and as a deputy general manager delivering industrial waste-treatment projects exceeding 25,000 tonnes per day in combined capacity.

This portfolio positions YUFAN to serve clients at the intersection of high regulatory scrutiny and heavy technical complexity — where generalist consulting cannot credibly engage.
